Our founder
Hi, I’m Sammy, the founder of Wild About 👋
Although Wild About is new, it’s built on my past and ongoing work - a home for the projects I’ve been leading and supporting.
Especially since becoming self employed, I’ve picked up quite a few job titles! Most of my work could be described as research or engagement, and projects which sit somewhere in between are my favourite place to be. I enjoy working with communities to understand the places they care about, using participatory science, creativity and collaboration to develop projects that connect people with nature.
Starting Wild About has been a way of bringing all of those different strands of my work together under one umbrella. It also creates space to collaborate with brilliant friends and colleagues across different projects.
I’m looking forward to sharing more about the projects we’re working on, the ideas behind them, and where Wild About goes next.
